About Nerdy Nurse Education

Nerdy nurse education was created by myself (Lauren). I am a registered nurse working as an advanced nurse practitioner.

As a student I found studying hard, text books were plain and too wordy. It was so overwhelming which always made me question if I could do it. It wasn't until my final year that I started to focus on creating good revision notes which contained the need to know information, along with being colourful and visual to aid memory retention.

As a newly qualified nurse I began working on an acute medical unit. I came across so many different conditions each shift and found myself making notes again. During my time on the acute medical unit I found a love for educating and helping others. Due to this, I also took on a role as a bank clinical demonstrator at the university I studied at. This is when nerdy nurse education was created, I combined my notes and passion for educating others and created an educational instagram page (nerdynurseuk). At the beginning I would post on instagram every now and again, but over the last 6 months I have invested so much time and love into this that there are new educational posts everyday.

Nerdy nurse education has one aim which is to make your studying simpler and easier (study smarter not harder), giving you the confidence that you can do this.

The products nerdy nurse education creates are set out in a simple, easy to understand format, without the fluff. There is also the added confidence that I am a registered professional with the correct knowledge to provide such products.

My passion for education and helping others will continue to grow beyond just creating products in the very near future so keep your eye peeled!
